PHOTO TRANSFER

WHAT DO I NEED

Image, text or other It can be so many things that I can transfer onto a model. Photo transfer gel or liquid. You can find it at a specialty painter's supply store. Personally, I prefer to use the brand gel Golden, but all other materials work as well. It might take a little longer to get the final result. Image editing program. The simplest program usually supplied with computer software is sufficient. Transparent matte or semi-matte varnish spray. This is necessary to fix the transferred image. Brush, sponge or rubber roller, white acrylic paint.
HOW CAN I PROCEED NOW? Prepare the article that I found on the Internet or elsewhere. If it's an Internet article, I have it as a digital file on my computer, but if it comes from a magazine or photo, this must then be scanned into the computer first. Now we have it all under digital form in the computer. In the image processing program the photo is transformed horizontally. (Reflect). This so that the final image appears readable again afterwards. If this is produced then it is printed with a laser printer. Laser printer because the product to transfer is acrylic and the ink from the inkjet printer would be dissolve. After printing, the desired image is then cut out along the contours. The image surface is coated with gel and fixed at the final location on the image side. If there are white areas in the image, you need to paint the area background white so that the white also glows white after transferring to colored surface like a building facade. I limit the area with masking tape and limit the area to approximately two millimeters smaller than the size of the picture. This involves minimizing the various traces of color in the cracks of a brick wall. The image is then pressed firmly with a sponge or rubber roller. Everything will then dry for an hour. The paper is then very carefully scrubbed with a damp brush, finger or electric toothbrush. Than the result is covered with a transparent, matte or satin varnish. Let it dry and the layout attracts a richer attention.
